What is Princess Derma™ and why is it so effective?
The Princess Derma™ is the first and only at-home microdermabrasion device utilizing dual-action therapy with a combination of crystal-free diamond exfoliation AND suction, enabling you to have true microdermabrasion treatments at home. Without suction, your skin will not realize the benefits of true microdermabrasion. While the exfoliation aspect of microdermabrasion is evident to anyone who has had a treatment, the suction element is the true behind the scenes hero. The combination of exfoliation and suction is what gives your skin the healthy afterglow that is associated with microdermabrasion.

What is diamond peel exfoliation?
Diamond peel exfoliation is an advanced form of microdermabrasion - a skin rejuvenating and correcting cosmetic procedure. Popular in day spas and medical aesthetic centers, this treatment is now available at home with Princess Derma™. During the treatment, the outermost layer of skin is removed using light abrasion which promotes the growth of healthy cells. The suction utilized in the treatment also increases blood flow to the dermis which rebuilds collagen and elastin for younger looking, less wrinkled skin with a rejuvenated glow.

How do I choose the treatment settings?
The treatment depends on the suction level you choose as well as the abrasiveness of the tip used and of course, user experience. This doesn't mean that you must use the highest suction level at all times. You must adjust the treatments to your own skin.

How long should a Princess Derma™ treatment take?
Each treatment depends on the individual. Some of us have small faces, while others have slightly larger ones. Some have difficult contours and others do not. An average Princess Derma™ treatment should take no longer than 3-5 minutes.

How often should I use Princess Derma™ for optimal results?
This depends on your skin's condition, but a general guideline is twice a week for ongoing maintenance and as often as desired for special occasions. It is best to use your mirror to make sure you progress smoothly from one point to another and avoid uneven results.

How soon will I see some improvement?
Skin responses vary between individuals but many people will see visible results after the very first treatment, and everyone will see continued improvement over time. One of the benefits of suction is transient erythema (redness) that goes away soon after the treatment. The redness tells us that the suction from the Princess Derma™ is doing its job properly by getting the body to circulate blood to the top layers of the skin.

Can I use Princess Derma™ to treat my whole body or just my face?
Your Princess Derma™ Professional Diamond Peel Exfoliation Home Kit is not just limited to your face. There are many skin zones that benefit from diamond peel exfoliation, the most common of which are the face, neck, chest, thighs and hands.

Can I use my skincare products with the Princess Derma™?
Medical microdermabrasion is considered a valuable adjunct to a number of different therapies including chemical peels, topical infusion and laser treatments. With the Princess Derma™, the same concept applies. After removing the dead layer of skin, your topical will penetrate much better.

When should I go to a spa or medical clinic for a professional treatment?
Using Princess Derma™ Professional Diamond Peel Exfoliation Home Kit between professional salon treatments is like brushing your teeth between dentist visits. The more you maintain healthy skin with Princess Derma™ at home, the less frequently you will need professional intervention. Use Princess Derma™ twice a week, and consult with your trusted cosmetician quarterly.

What type of Microdermabrasion is used by Plastic Surgeons and other physicians?
Most medical practitioners these days are using a diamond based, crystal-free system such as the Pristine, developed by Viora, Inc. These professional systems deliver added coarseness and suction levels to fully customize the treatments. With the Princess Derma™, we have kept you in mind and designed a device based on the same principles as these medical grade systems. The Princess Derma™ utilizes the same dual-action therapy that the professional models use in medical clinics.

Princess Derma™ uses real diamonds while some salon microdermabrasion treatments still use loose crystal abrasives. Does it really matter?
It does matter. Princess Derma™ does not use crystals or abrasive creams, thereby increasing ease of use and consumer safety by eliminating the potential for ingestion, inhalation, and eye injury. Real diamonds are precise, high quality abrasives that allow you to work near sensitive and hard to reach areas such as the eyes, nose and mouth without covering them. Real diamonds are less irritating than traditional crystals and they are hypoallergenic for an effective, comfortable and safe experience. Non-diamond or loose abrasives are less refined and may cause unnecessary discomfort including irritation to the eyes and breathing passageways.
